Cesar grew up in Cuba, where he fenced foil for 11 years. A 1991 graduate of Cuba’s School for Physical Education Teachers Simon Bolivar, with a degree in Physical Education, Cesar has been coaching since 1997. He was the Head Fencing Coach with the Boston Fencing Club until 2010. Cesar works with students of all ages and levels and regularly travels to competitions to provide coaching. From 1997 to 2002 Cesar was assistant fencing coach at Brandeis University, and was named Coach of the Year three years in a row. In addition to coaching, Cesar teaches physical education at four schools in the Boston area, at the Dana Farber Institute, and at the Carroll Center for the Blind.
Cesar’s fencing students have gone on to fence for colleges such as Brown, Tufts, Brandeis, Harvard, Princeton, Haverford, Vassar, University of Massachusetts and the US Military Academy at West Point.
Luis grew up in Cuba, where he fenced foil and sabre for 15years. A 1986 graduate of Cuba’s School for Physical Education Teachers Simon Bolivar, with a degree in Physical Education and 1992 finished his Master in Physical Education from University of Havana with a concentration in fencing. Luis has coached since 1986 at different levels. He was the Head Fencing Coach of EIDE school for high performance athletes. Luis also worked in Spain with Club la Safor de Gandia and Club de Esgrimidor Nou Campello. He coached students of all ages and levels. He was Cesar teammate in Cuba for many years
